Pint-sized Picassos

Today, Hannu & Sara were getting bored after some playtime. I said, "How about some painting fun?" :) I got them each a canvas and the kids did an art project in the evening. At first, I have them follow a pattern of vertical lines, But then I just let them decide and they wanted to add them horizontal lines. My only rule was, "Don't smear the colors too much." :) They both did surprisingly well with the paintbrush and the instructions. 

I love it so much I'm commissioning these artists for a few more pieces for our house!

 

One year old!

Happy Birthday Vihaan! You are 1 year old today, but will always be our baby boy, Littlest Garg. You continue to be this wonderful light in our family. You Are Our Sunshine!

Walking is old news for the little guy by now. :) He's steady and actually pretty fast. One of my favorite things about Vihaan is that he comes when he's called. It's awesome. Whenever we call him, he emerges from wherever he is with a smile and walks right towards us.He  can say "mumma", "baa", jiji and "dada". 

There is one more upper dental friend pushing through, making that 7 teeth by his first birthday. We are now introducing whole milk to help strengthen those teeth and bones. We will slowly move him from bottles to sippy cups. Such a big boy!

Vihaan's First BMW

We got Vihaan a toddler car from BMW for his first birthday. More than him, Sara is using it for now :)

The Best Seat in the House

Vihaan has finally discovered how much fun his new chair can be:). He climbs up on it, sits for about a second, and then gets down and does it all over again. He does this every chance he gets!

If I took pictures of him doing this every time, I'd have many pictures for every day! I took these b/c he looked adorable.

Siblings!

For some reason, I thought they looked so similar today and wanted a picture of the two of them together.  oh my heart...LOVE these kids!

Letter to Santa!!!

Sara finished her 'Letter to Santa' this morning, She is getting good at writing words. I was quite fascinated of what all she wants from Santa!! Here's the final letter:

Fun at BJs

 We went to BJs today for regular errands and Vihaan found the liquor aisles the MOST interseting. It was so much fun to see him!!!

New Piggy Bank!

Sara picked up a new piggy bank and was super excited since we got Vihaan's and her name written on it. Vishal gave her $ to put into their piggy banks. Sara was very sweet and gave some of her money to Vihaan "I want him to have it. So he can put it in the piggy bank too." :)

Candy Corn and the Little Pumpkin

Vihaan is wearing a Sara's hand-me-down costume. It was just perfect and fit him nicely. He was toasty warm and sat/run happily all over Rashmi's house. I was very pleased by the pictures Vikas took and was nice enough to email us the same night.

At the Grown-up Table

We went to a great pizza place in Maplewood for lunch today. Instead of hanging out in his carseat on the floor like he usually does, Vihaan joined us at the table. What fun seeing his cute little face up there with us!
