Vihaan's Walk of Life

Yes, he's mobile...and upright. At 10.5 months, we have another walker! After taking his first few steps last week, this week Vihaan has realized that walking can be an efficient means of getting around. Last week he only walked when we encouraged him. Now, he does it on his own. Tonight Vishal filmed him. He doesn't actually make it the whole way b/c he gets distracted (fumble!). But he gets up in the middle (again on his own) and makes it to the "end zone." It's so darn cute!  

Fall in Vermont

This weekend, we went to Vermont to see the awesome fall colors with Matta's & Jain's. We went to a fabulous resort in Okemo ski area - Proctorsville. We all squeezed in Matta's car for the 5 hour road trip. It was an AMAZING weekend. We ate leisurely (we all took so much food) and enjoyed conversations...and even more leisurely breakfasts. The first morning we sat down to breakfast at 7:30 and sat talking and enjoying the views for FOUR uninterrupted hours. It was glorious! The only reason we did get moving (@ 12:30) was that we decided to go see fall colors. The resort was incredible, and the time spent with good friends was truly rejuvenating.

We also went and did cheese-tasting which is always so much fun. Few picts of all of us:

 

Dancing Queen

While the boys are in the car, we girls are "here for Sara's second Bollywood Class!" 

Vihaan's Mundan at Durga Temple

Today, we went to Durga Temple for Vihaan's mundan ceremony.  It was delayed and hence we all were tired but overall it was a beautiful ceremony. Here are a few photos before the ceremony (unfortunately we did not took any pictures during the ceremony)

Back to School Dance

We girls went to Sara's school for "Back To School Dance" night.  It was a fun event and she was so happy. Most of the time, she played with her buddy Niyati. While the girls danced a little bit, boys ran around the gym chasing each other. I will post a video later on.

First Pedicure!

It's much requested "Mommy n Me" timeeee:)))) Sara got her first pedicure done today witrh me. We both loved the pampering.

Pick Your Own

We met up with the Jain's (Bharat & family) at Alstede Farm today.  We picked raspberries and summer apples.  It was SO much fun!

We also saw cows, goats, sheep, and ponies. e-i-e-i-o!

Walking the Stairs

Today Vihaan ascend the stairs. :) This cute bumper made it's way up a few steps today as Vihaan seemed to just notice the stairs and try them out this morning! It was a super cute view, but it also stresses me out a little bit !

I did not had a camera to took that video. However, he did the same at Rashmi's house and we caught a glimpse of it again on my iphone :) (At the end he got disbalanced so will post another video soon)

 

First Day of Kindergarten

This is the first day of Sara's public school.  Still wrapping my mind (and heart!) around that one!
