Meri Dawai!

There are so many times where I try to permanently record Sara's cuteness in my brain. I wish I could somehow capture the everyday hilarity or sweetness though...those moments that are not exactly noteworthy, but that leave a "sweet-print" on my heart.

Yesterday we were at Walmart and she bought 'Skittles' . She told her Daddy this is her Dawai (Medicine). She said to daddy see its written (breaking the 'Skittles' and pronouncing as) 'Da+ Wa- aai'. :p

A few weeks ago, daddy asked Sara where is Amma-Baba and Sara replied "Basement." Then Vishal asked her "Kya kar rahe hai" and she said, "Shoor Macha rahe hai." We almost died laughing!

"Like Daddy"

Yesterday, Sara found her daddy's razor in the bathroom cabinet and tried using on her cheeks saying "Mein daddy jaise shave karti...". She bruised herself but Thank God its just a little cut!!

School Girl!

With a bad experience yesterday, Sara was not ready to go to school. After a lot of attractions...Hannu, lunch bag, toys she finally agreed to go to school...once we reached the class..she was reluctant to go in to her classroom. She did with a little coaxing...and she wanted to play with Hannu. She showed him that she had a lunch pack And her glasses. ;p She didn't want me to leave. I told her I had to go and she said No..."mujhe bhi chalna hai, mujhe nahi jaana school..".

I left...then again i can hear...i couldn't leave and stayed outside the class....the whole 1.5 hrs i could hear her cry. When I went to pick her up, she said, "Mommy! mujhe nahi jaana school....mujhe mummy chahiye!'' Oh. so. sweet.

First Day of Preschool

Here are some pictures of Sara before we dropped her off at school on Monday...She was way tooo excited initially...but then i could hear her scream on top of her lungs....."Mujhe mommy chahiye...". I hope this ends soon....

Being a Mom

The awesome thing about being a mom: discovering two little pine cones in your pocket as you walk home and smiling about the memory of how they got there.

The Entertainer

Sara loves to entertain all of us, especially when her efforts are being reciprocated with loud laughs.

This evening she was all enthusiastic and making all of us ROTFL....she was using her kitchen tools and making us tea with adarak, allu ki sabzi and asking her grandmother to help her make rotis for her daddy!!!

She is now copying me and have started saying her daddy as "Vishal Ji...kaha reh gaye....kab aaoge ghar..". With all the fun she slept early and woke up at 7:00 AM. She went down and said to her Baa "Mere stomach bol raha hai ....mujhe hungary lagi hai..." OMG such cuteness....

Labor Day Weekend

We had an eventful, yet relaxing weekend enjoying the beautiful weather this Labor Day weekend! Saturday we headed to Bear Mountain/Woodbury Mall with 'Gupta's' so that Sara could enjoy her bike & car.

Sunday we went to see the 'Desi Mela' in south NJ. Sara had fun watching the kids danced and wanted to dance with them on the stage too..it was so much fun to listen her talk..."Mujhe bhi dance karna hai....please jaane dooo...".

Monday we cleaned the house, cooked nice lunch and just enjoyed all being together! :)

My Poor baby!

I was eating a sandwich after coming back from work. Sara sat next to me and wanted to eat too. So, I was giving her small pieces. It was spicy for me so i was removing the Hari mirch and keeping it aside on the plate.

While I was talking to ma-papa, Sara herself took a bite and ate the Hari Mirch. OMG, she cried so so much for like next 30 minutes. I tried to gave her sugar, water, coke...nothing helped. At the end i gave her some ice. She felt OK after eating ice cubes. My Gosh, I will never forget her cry.

Since Vishal was working late, next morning Sara told her Daddy "Daddy, kal sara ne mirchi ka li thi....phir meine ice khayi...and tab theek hui...' it is so hilarious to listen Sara speak hindi...ha ha

So Pretty

This evening Sara found her old suit then her nani gave her in her closet. She said, "Ooo! Nice Nice". Though we tried to explain her its tooo small she insisted  on wearing. she looked so cute...My heart melted.

It was so so difficult to take that dress out...i literally had to use scissors to cut the belt.

Happy Birthday Baba!!

Tonight we celebrated Vishal's dad's 60th Birthday. As I was trying to prep Sara I told her to wish 'Happy Birthday to baba'. She wished him "Happy Birthday Baba...app kitne saal ke hai...sara to three ki hai.." ha!

She ate her favorite poori-chole with Raita....Swati, Vikas & Hannu came by too to wish papaji. Sara as always had a blast with hannu.......her bestest buddy.
